Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios played through the 2022 Wimbledon finals where Djokovic came out on top winning the tie by 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6(3), Kyrgios played his first Grand Slam performance where he overwhelmed Djokovic in the first set with his serves but the Serbian’s experience pulled him through at the end as he won his 7th Wimbledon title.

Nick Kyrgios proved himself on the big stage by going toe to toe with Djokovic and giving him a good battle, even though Djokovic came out on top at the end, there were times in the match when it seemed like Kyrgios was the better player. After winning the first set, the Australian was unable to win another set and lost the match eventually.

Toni Nadal disappointed after the 2022 Wimbledon final between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios failed to meet his expectations.

Toni Nadal

Spanish Tennis coach Toni Nadal was in attendance at the finals of the 2022 Wimbledon and the Spaniard was not impressed with the game, despite Djokovic beating Nick Kyrgios in the crucial match, Toni Nadal thinks that the match lacked some brilliance and there were too many lost balls.

Nadal said, “The game lacked brilliance, mainly because there were too many unplayed points. Novak Djokovic, without needing to display his most dazzling game, has once again proven that he is a great champion. Everything his opponent didn’t want to do is what he normally does. The Aussie’s lack of consistency, especially when it comes to maintaining his aggression, highlighted what I believe is the biggest problem with his game. He has a bad habit of hitting too many balls in a direction or the other without thinking and in the wrong position.
