The former world No.1, Novak Djokovic gets emotional after opening up about his son and daughter. He also gives an update on his injury in the post-match interview. Earlier today, the 35-year-old crushed Alex de Minaur in the fourth round of the Australian Open and reached the quarterfinals. He was unstoppable in the match winning it in straight sets 6-2, 6-1, 6-2, and the match ended in just two hours.

The 22nd seed had no chance at any point during the match and was knocked out of the major. Novak was moving in the court very comfortably and never looked struggling. After the match ended, the Serbian spoke about his injury, kids, and his next opponent, Andrey Rublev.

When asked about being a father, Novak talked about his son and said “He’s playing. He’s enjoying himself. The important thing is that he’s loving what he is doing whether it is tennis or whatever sport it is. Of course, as a father I want him to be active and healthy. He loves tennis. He wants to watch every single match. Whenever I’m at home, there is no tennis break for me because I play with him every day.”

However, Novak surprised his fans by saying “Who knows maybe one day Stefan and I come back here and play doubles. I still have plenty of time ahead of me.” And hearing this, the entire Rod Laver erupted shouting Novak’s name.

He continued talking about his daughter and said she is not into tennis but she loves gymnastics. However, he was emotional in the end and said “It is the most beautiful thing I could ever experience in my life being a father of wonderful, two little angles”

He also mentioned that he was feeling good in the first match but he was not feeling good in the second. So he felt that it’s not over yet and he’s been taking some inflammatory pills for the pain.
