Casper Ruud is a Norwegian professional tennis player who has a career-high singles ranking of world No. 5 which makes him the highest-ranked Norwegian tennis player in history. He has won nine ATP Tour singles titles, eight of which were on clay courts. Ruud is the first Norwegian man to win an ATP singles title, reach a major final (at the 2022 French Open), reach a Masters 1000 final, and enter the Top 10 in the ATP rankings.

The Norwegian has recently been crowned the Swiss Open champion. Ruud played the final of the tournament against the Italian Matteo Berrettini where the world No. 6 defeated the world No. 14 by 4-6, 7-6, 6-2. Ruud looked phenomenal throughout the tournament and he didn’t concede a single set until the finals, where he lost the first set against Berrettini but made a comeback in 2nd and 3rd sets.

The Norwegian’s stunning victory last Sunday has become a discussion among Twitter fans, not because of his performance but with whom he celebrated with, after his victory. The world No. 6 was seen posing for pictures with Shania Twain, who is a Canadian singer and songwriter. She has sold over 100 million records, making her the best-selling female artist in country music history and one of the best-selling music artists of all time. Her success garnered her several titles including the “Queen of Country Pop”. Billboard named her the leader of the ’90s country-pop crossover stars.

Shania posted a picture with Casper on her Twitter account which gave fans the topic of discussion, she wrote the caption along with the picture, “Spent my Sunday watching Casper Ruud win his second @SwissOpenGstaad! Congratulations my friend, what a result!”
