“There is no consolation for haters, go and cry silently” Mischa Zverev lashed out on social media for his absurd remarks on Carlos Alcaraz

Tennis Twitter slams Mischa Zverev for his baseless assumptions made against Carlos Alcaraz for becoming the world number one with not enough ranking points.

Carlos Alcaraz became the youngest US Open after he won his maiden major singles title defeating Norwegian Casper Ruud and even went on to become the youngest World number one in the world. He had made his debut into the Top 5 after having a spectacular season and winning four ATP titles.

Alcaraz created history upon becoming the first teenager in the Open era to claim the No 1 spot with as many as 6740 points in his kitty. Mischa Zverev mocked the young Spaniard taking a dig at his ranking points where he drew contrasts of how could anyone with such lower ranking points can be the number one in the world.

Mischa Zverev, the brother of Alexander Zverev who has been missing out of action since the French Open where he suffered an ankle injury, criticized the ranking system by citing an example where he compared Alcaraz’s ranking points with that to Grigor Dmitrov couldn’t make his way into the Top 5 and rather found his place only at the 7th spot despite winnings 7000 ranking points. He concluded that how it is possible that with such fewer ranking points, Alcaraz managed to claim the top spot.

Mischa Zverev’s claims against Alcaraz left twitter fans angry and they slammed the German for his baseless comparisons where some even asked him to first play some incredible matches and leave behind his own mark rather than criticizing others.
