American tennis player Taylor Fritz recently reacted to a poster released from the ATP Finals, where he was pushed to the no-entry section at an airport which included other players like Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz.

The World No.9 took to social media to express his response to this hilarious animation by ATP Finals. He posted a story on his Instagram account saying, ” They did me dirty.” The poster included the 8 qualified players fighting for $15 Million prize money at the ATP Finals in Turin.

Taylor Fritz had an amazing season on tour this year, winning around 54 matches overall, which is his highest number of wins in a single season. The American tennis player also won two ATP 250 titles at Delray Beach and Atlanta.

Despite his impressive performance, the 26-year-old fell short by 2 places to fulfill the eligibility criteria at the ATP Finals in Turin. He is the second alternative to the tournament’s draws, after Hubert Hurkacz.

Apart from the top 8 qualified players, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, Andrey Rublev, Stefanos Tsitsipas, Alexander Zverev, and Holger Rune, Taylor Fritz, and Hubert Hurkacz were also included in the poster released.

All the players were captured as sitting at the airport, waiting to board their flight to Turin. Interestingly, Taylor and Hubert were however present in the no-entry section of the airport in the poster as the 2 did not directly qualify for the tournament.

Carlos Alcaraz is to debut at the ATP Finals, and Taylor Fritz has to sit out this time

In the 2022 ATP Finals, Taylor Fritz missed out on a spot in the last eight. However, as luck would have it, World No.2 Carlos Alcaraz had pulled out and gave Taylor Fritz an opportunity to play. The American took full advantage of this opportunity and made it to the semi-finals of the tournament last year.

This year however, the reigning Wimbledon champion will be making his debut at the ATP Finals in Turin, while Taylor Fritz will be sitting out. The Spaniard will look to deliver a better performance after having a series of unsuccessful tournaments since the Asian leg of the season.

While he has fewer chances of reclaiming his World No.1 position from Novak Djokovic, he will surely look to leave a mark in his debut at the ATP Finals. Novak Djokovic coming for his 8th year-end #1 Championship after winning Paris Master 1000. He has 11,445 points while Alcaraz has 8,455 and needs to win only one match to secure the ranking.
