“This man is disgusting” Fans take a jibe at Frances Tiafoe and Nick Kyrgios over their persistent “bullying” of Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Laver Cup

Frances Tiafoe, the 24-year-old American tennis professional recently cemented his position as one of the best players on tour currently. Tiafoe managed to reach the semi-finals of the US Open where he was eliminated by eventual champion Carlos Alcaraz. After competing in the recent Laver Cup, Tiafoe has been surrounded by controversies.

During his matchup with Stefanos Tsitsipas at the Laver Cup, Frances Tiafoe called him a ‘Greek yogurt’. Fans took to Twitter to call out Tiafoe for bullying Tsitispas at the Laver Cup. The issue continues as now the situation involves Nick Kyrgios as well, In a video posted online, Nick Kyrgios and Frances Tiafoe had a good laugh about the incident which brought a lot of heat on them.

Frances Tiafoe gets a lot of criticism for calling Stefanos Tsitsipas a ‘Greek yogurt’

Frances Tiafoe and Stefanos Tsitsipas competed against each other at the Laver Cup. In a thrilling encounter in London, Tiafoe emerged victorious in the match by 1-6, 7-6(11), 10-8. The win was crucial for Team World as they won their first Laver Cup title. The highlight of the match was Tiafoe calling Tsitsipas ‘Greek yogurt’ which was not well received by fans.

Tiafoe called Tsitsipas Greek yogurt in his post-match press conference as well. He said, “You know, I see Stef across the court and I’m, like, I’m licking my lips playing that guy. I want to win. So, yeah, I’m just happy I got over the line. Yeah, like we just like Greek yogurt, so it was good.” 

Fans reacted to Frances Tiafoe and Nick Kyrgios laughing in the comments section of a post on Instagram. The post made by Eurosport shed light on the incident and Kyrgios and Tiafoe were seen laughing in the comments of the post. Both the players received a lot of heat by fans due to this as fans branded Tiafoe ‘shameless’.
