Daniil Medvedev will not defend his title at the Rotterdam Open 2024

Unfortunately, I have to pull out of Rotterdam. After an incredibly long and tough run in Australia my body (and especially my right foot) is not recovered enough yet to play come and defend my title.
Medvedev said to ATP Tour.

Medvedev created a world record during the Australian Open last month for playing the greatest number of sets in a Grand Slam event.

Owing to this hectic outing, the Russian will be absent in the Rotterdam Open. The World No.3 will be dropping 500 points for not participating in the tournament. Thus, his ranking of No. 3 will also be at stake as Sinner is just behind by a whisker.
