Novak Djokovic continues his dominant run at the 2023 US Open, as he booked a place in the finals on Sunday. After securing a victory over Ben Shelton in the semifinals, he faces Daniil Medvedev in the finals. There were a couple of familiar faces in attendance during the two semifinal matchups on Friday evening.

NFL legend Tom Brady was in attendance as well, along with his children. Her daughter Vivian Brady was spotted wearing a Novak Djokovic cap during the semifinal clash between Carlos Alcaraz and Daniil Medvedev. Tom Brady explained that they were hoping to be in attendance for the Serbian’s semifinal fixture, however, the children had their school hours during that period.

Tom Brady and Novak Djokovic have been close friends for some time now. The American legend was also present in the Serb’s box during the 2023 French Open final, where he defeated Casper Ruud in straight sets.

Novak Djokovic will look to claim his third Grand Slam title of the season, when he faces Daniil Medvedev in the finals. The pair met in the finals of the same tournament two years ago, where the Russian emerged victorious in straight sets. Daniil Medvedev has had a pretty strong tournament as well, getting the better of Carlos Alcaraz and Andrey Rublev in the earlier rounds.

Novak Djokovic could level Margaret Court’s record of 24 Major titles if he claims the title on Sunday. The second seed was handed a five-set defeat in the finals of Wimbledon a couple of months earlier, which prevented him from leveling the record. The Serbian has reached the finals of all Grand Slam events this year, as he has already claimed the Australian and French Open titles.
