Rafael Nadal, the former world number one is regarded as one of the greatest players of all time and has proven his dominance over the last two decades with his 22 Grand Slam singles titles, the most by a men’s player in the Open era. He had put up great performances throughout the year where he won two singles major titles and maintained his winning streak in the Grand Slam matches until his fourth-round loss at US Open.
The 22-time Grand Slam singles champion is super elated and delighted with the birth of his first child on the 8th of October. Toni Nadal, uncle and ex-coach of Nadal shared that his nephew will be a great father just as he is in the world of tennis. He also talked about one of the most difficult decisions Nadal will make when he gets back on the Tour especially when he goes to defend his title at the Australian Open.
Toni Nadal said that “He will do this totally normally. He’s not a special guy, as all footballers and many others do this. When he first has to go to Australia, it will be hard to be away, but in the end, it is the price you have to pay.“
Rafael Nadal has been out of action since his exit at US Open
Rafael Nadal hasn’t played a single match since his exit at the US Open.
