21-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic has fulfilled the wish of many tennis fans as he will be joining Team Europe for the upcoming 2022 Laver Cup scheduled in London from 23rd to 25th September. The Serbian will return to the competition for the first time since 2018 and will be looking to help Team Europe to win its fifth consecutive title.

Djokovic will be joining Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray in Team Europe as the remaining two spots will be confirmed in the coming days. This will be the first time that the Big-4 will be playing the competition together. With Murray out with injuries in the previous season, even the Big-3 had never played together in the competition. Djokovic and Nadal will share the camp together for the first time as well.

The tournament that started as an exhibition between the players and played in the name of Rod Laver, one of the all-time greats of the sport, will see increasing its level this year as the entire Big-4 will be playing this year and will compete not only in singles but also in doubles together.

“I’m really excited to be joining Team Europe again for the Laver Cup at London’s O2 arena in September. It’s the only competition where you can play in a team environment with guys that you’re normally competing against and to be joining Rafa, Roger and Andy – three of my biggest all-time rivals – it’s going to be a truly unique moment in the history of our sport,” said Djokovic confirming his participation for the event that is scheduled in the O2 Arena in London.
