World No. 3 Elena Rybakina will be up against Romanian ace Sorana Cirstea in a third-round clash at the 2023 US Open. The Kazakhstani tennis star has been in great form recently and is among the list of highly-rated players regarded as the favorites for the competition.
She looked really dominant in her first-round win over Marta Kostyuk and is back from a second-round walkover as her opponent, Ajla Tomljanovic, retired. On the other hand, Cirstea is back from her impressive win over Anna Kalinskaya in the second round.
