Jannik Sinner is an Italian professional tennis player who has been ranked as high as world No. 9 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and world No. 124 in doubles. The sinner has won five ATP titles in singles and one in doubles. He also became the youngest ATP title-holder since 2008 by winning the 2020 Sofia Open and the youngest to have five titles since Novak Djokovic in 2007. He became the first teenage ATP 500 champion by winning the 2021 Citi Open.

The Italian is currently ranked at No. 10 and has a 111-52 win-loss record. The 20-year-old has played on three occasions in the quarter-finals of grand slams(Australian Open 2022, Wimbledon 2022, and French Open 2020).

Sinner is currently playing the Croatian Open where he has reached the quarter-finals of the tournament and is set to meet Roberto Carballes Baena of Spain in the next round. Jannik kick-started his Umag campaign with a win where the World No. 10 dominated over second-seeded Jaume Munar in his round of 16 matches where he won the game in two straight sets by 6-4, 6-4.

The match however ended up being in favor of the Italian, as we all would have predicted and it was not that kind of match about which we talk for days because it was one-sided but in between the match, there was a point which was the highlight of the match where the Italian hit an unbelievable flick pass and won the point in defense which made fans and commentators compare Sinner to the reigning Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic.

Sinner will face Roberto Carballés Baena in the quarterfinal at Umag on Friday.
