After seeing Jannik Sinner walk onto the court for his round 1 match at Wimbledon sporting a custom–made Gucci Duffle bag, fans might get to see the same with World No.1 and teenage sensation Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard is now the newest brand ambassador for the prestigious fashion house Louis Vuitton. He thus joins the ranks of renowned ambassadors such as Zendaya, Chloe Grace Moretz, J-Hope, and fellow tennis star Naomi Osaka.

Alcaraz spoke at length of the influence the brand has had on him so far. “When I hear Louis Vuitton, I think of elegance and that it’s the best fashion brand today. I remember a long time ago when I was younger, I would see people wearing Louis Vuitton bags and clothes and I always wanted to get one of those,” said the Spaniard.

According to Louis Vuitton, the Spaniard has taken the tennis world by storm at the age of 20, and his future holds exceptionally high promise.

“Sharing the same spirit of endeavor and excellence dear to Louis Vuitton, the Murcia, Spain-born athlete continues to raise the bar in the world of tennis. Off the court, his unique charm and style have garnered him fans within and beyond the sphere of sport, all sure to follow him on this exciting new chapter with the Maison,” the brand stated.

Interestingly, Carlos Alcaraz talking about his association with Louis Vuitton comes right after Jannik Sinner walked on the court with a custom–made duffle bag by Gucci, drawing a lot of attention. The bag had his initials, J.S. printed along with the unmistakable GG monogram emblazoned on it.

The deal has fans speculating about Alcaraz pulling a similar move for his upcoming matches at Wimbledon. We will soon see whether Alcaraz would be willing to make a style statement at Wimbledon, a tournament known for its stringent dress code, and decorum.

Both Alcaraz and Sinner won their round 1 encounters in straight sets. Sinner is set to face Argentine Diego Schwartzman in the second round, while Alcaraz’s round 2 opponent is yet to be named.
