Coco Gauff, the teen sensation from America has managed to make her place in the history of women’s tennis and is regarded as one of the most talented young players on the WTA Tour. She made it to the finals of the French Open in 2022 which was her debut in the singles final of a Grand Slam tournament but lost to Iga Swiatek.
She has been quite consistent on the Tour and had made her way into the Top 10 of the rankings but is yet to win a Grand Slam title or even a singles WTA title. She posted a video on her social media account announcing her arrival at the Guadalajara Open, another WTA 1000 tournament of the year.
She walked into the elevator while being back from one of her practice sessions where the doors of the elevator had a large-sized poster of the teen sensation in order to welcome her to the tournament in Mexico. She is looking for another good finish to the season amid all the losses as she captioned the post as “Open up loser“.

Coco Gauff reached her fourth quarter-finals in the hardcourt season as she made it to another quarter-final round at the San Diego Open but lost to the eventual winner Iga Swiatek in straight sets. She had reached the quarter-finals of the US Open for the first time and became the youngest American to achieve this feat since 2009 but again could not go past it after being beaten by Caroline Garcia in straight sets.
She went on to win the doubles title at the San Diego Open partnering with compatriot Jessica Pegula defeating Giuliana Olmos and Gabriela Dabrowski 1-6, 7-5,10-4 which was her first major WTA 1000 doubles title.
As she posted the video where she proclaimed herself as a loser, fans on social media extended their love and support to the American with people encouraging her to be strong and keep trying. Some even cheered her up saying they look upon her as a winner and did not agree with calling herself a loser.
