World No 5 Novak Djokovic had a perfect end to his 2022 campaign by winning the ATP Finals title for the sixth time and equaling the record with Roger Federer. The Serb will play alongside Paula Badosa, Aryna Sabalenka, and Grigor Dimitrov in Team Falcons at the World Tennis League. He conveys his excitement upon being a part of the inaugural edition of the exhibition tournament.

He had a tough start to the year due to his Covid-19 vaccination status. It all started with his deportation on the eve of his match at the Australian Open despite entering the country with a valid medical exemption which was later denied and was followed by a three-year visa ban. The former World No 1 missed all the tournaments in the North American swing, especially the US Open which impacted his overall rankings.
