Frances Tiafoe goes on a rant
Nick Kyrgios, the 27-year-old Australian recently enjoyed a good run at the 2022 Wimbledon as he reached the finals of the event where he eventually lost to one of the greatest players of all time in Novak Djokovic. Always capturing the headlines, Kyrgios is famous for his antics both on and off the court.
Currently competing at the Citi Open, Nick Kyrgios faced American professional Frances Tiafoe in a thrilling quarter-final where the former emerged victorious after another late-night thriller. Recovering from his loss at Wimbledon, Kyrgios is gearing up for yet another run at the US Open.

Frances Tiafoe goes on a rant to the chair umpire during match with Nick Kyrgios
In a thrilling quarter-final of the Citi Open between Frances Tiafoe and Wimbledon finalist Nick Kyrgios which ended 6-7(5) 7-6(12) 6-2 in Kyrgios’ favor, there is hardly any match that involves Kyrgios and has no drama in it. But much to everyone’s surprise, it was not Kyrgios who stirred it up this time around but it was Frances Tiafoe who was visibly upset and went on a rant after losing the second set.
After losing the second set which forced the match into a decider, Tiafoe was clearly upset and went to the chair umpire to complain, the American professional was supposedly angry that Kyrgios made the serve when the crowd was cheering and the ball boys were still running around which disrupted his concentration and he ended up losing the set forcing the match into a decider which Tiafoe lost as well.
The umpire reportedly didn’t respond to a heckler in the crowd who made line calls which disrupted the flow of the game. Tiafoe didn’t like that and went on a rant in the spur of the moment.
Fans took to Twitter to share their reactions to Taifoe’s rant as the American professional bows out of the tournament, Nick Kyrgios after beating Tiafoe progressed to the semi-finals of the event where he is scheduled to face Swedish professional Mikael Ymer, the in-form Australian will be looking to book his place in the finals of the tournament.
