Roger Federer, the 41-year-old Swiss former tennis professional is undoubtedly one of the greatest tennis players of all time. With 20 grand slam titles to his name, Federer has etched his name in the history books of the sport. The Swiss maestro recently retired from professionally playing tennis.

Former professional golfer, Jack Nicklaus recently paid his tribute to Roger Federer who recently retired. He said, “I remember when I retired from playing golf, you know it was a sad day but a happy day. That’s a sad day for all of us who are tennis fans, who are Roger Federer fans.

And I loved coming to Wimbledon, I loved to go to the US Open and other places to watch you play. I am going to lose watching my favorite player because it was really fun watching you. You were sensational. I love the way you handled yourself on the court. I love the way you handled yourself off the court. You have been a true champion for not only the game but for your family and everybody that you know loves you,” he added further

Nicklaus was full of praise for Federer, the 82-year-old was a huge fan of the Swiss icon just like millions of people across the globe. He also emphasized the fact that he would miss watching Federer in action.

Just like golf legend Jack Nicklaus, there were many personalities across the globe who paid their tribute to the retiring Roger Federer. The Swiss icon shared a heartfelt message on his social media handles where he announced the news of his retirement. Federer called it quits after competing at the Laver Cup.

It was the first time in the competition’s history when Novak Djokovic, Andy Murray, and Rafael Nadal were all playing alongside Federer as they took on Team World.
