Holger Rune, the 19-year-old Danish professional, is one of the hottest prospects in the tennis world right now. With the 2023 Australian Open underway, Rune has been named the “dark horse” for the Australian Open this year. Everyone will have their eyes on the 19-year-old as the first Grand Slam of the season commences, and it is not going to be an easy road for Rune if he has his eyes set on the title.

Ninth-seed Rune is well aware of the expectations that are placed on him ahead of his opening fixture of the Australian Open. The 19-year-old, however, seems confident in his abilities, as he says he is looking forward to the challenge. Despite having a slow start to 2022, things picked up for Rune in the latter stages of last year, and the Danish professional will be looking to continue the same kind of form this year.

Rune shared a video of the same on his Twitter handle as he thanked his fans for their support before his first match of the 2023 Australian Open. 19-year-old Danish professional Holger Rune will be facing Serbian professional Filip Krajinovic in the opening fixture of the 2023 Australian Open. The 19-year-old is expected to emerge victorious and progress to the next round of the tournament. Holger Rune won the biggest title of his career in the form of the Paris Masters when he defeated Novak Djokovic in the final last year.

The Danish player will be looking to make quick work of Krajinovic, but it won’t be as simple as that, as Krajinovic’s experience will be crucial if he is to advance past Rune to the next round of the Australian Open
