Danish tennis star Hoger Rune is enjoying his time at the 2023 edition of the Australian Open. The 19-year-old advanced to the third round without any trouble. In the third round, Rune locked horns with Ugo Humbert, and the Frenchman too did not pose a big challenge for Rune in the first two rounds.

Rune has been cruising through despite taking a nasty fall at the beginning of the second set. In the 45th minute of the game, Rune, after returning a shot from Humbert, lost control of his body and fell to the ground. His opponent came quickly to inquire about the same. Initially, it did not look like a serious concern, but he had to leave the court for some time after seeking a medical timeout.

Coming off two straight-set victories in his first two games in the Australian Open, Rune looked in a strong position to take the game away from Humbert. The Danish star appeared to be unaffected by the injury scare. After the two sets, the score was 6-4, 6-2 in favor of Rune.
