Team World captained by John McEnroe, has finally won the Laver Cup. Frances Tiafoe defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas ensured that Team World had an unassailable lead against Team Europe to clinch the 2022 Laver Cup. After losing the first four editions on the trot, Team World finally tasted victory.

Team World had a young squad as compared to Team Europe. The Europeans had the Big-4 playing but none of them were in form. Novak Djokovic returned to Tour after more than two months, Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal had been dealing with fitness issues and Roger Federer had already announced retirement prior to the start.

Tiafoe had to save four match points to claim the win and the party began as soon as the match ended. Having waited for the title since the inaugural edition in 2017, McEnroe enjoyed every moment of the win and even danced on the court with his young victorious brigade.

McEnroe‘s dance quickly went viral as the original ‘Bad Boy’ of tennis was never seen like this on the court. The fabulous end of the 3-day event along with the winning trophy was good enough to get the former World No. 1 breaking a leg with his young guns and it was thoroughly enjoyed by the players and fans alike.
