It was the first World Cup title for Lionel Messi who got his hands on the trophy in his fifth attempt.

Novak Djokovic and Emma Raducanu were in Middle-East for respective matches
Raducanu recently made her debut at the Mubadala World Tennis Championships where she played Ons Jabeur. It was the only women’s match at the tournament and Jabeur narrowly edged out the 2021 US Open champ who was returning from her injury. With the tournament in Dubai, both Raducanu and Jabeur were present for the finals but did not pose for a photo.
Djokovic made the trip to Qatar prior to his exhibition tournament. Djokovic will be in Dubai for the 2022 World Tennis League where the Serbian is one of the headliners. With the finals a day prior to the commencement of the tournament, he made his way to watch the brilliant final.
For Raducanu, she will now have her personal training sessions having brought on Sebastian Sachs on a trial basis till the new season. The German coach had earlier coached Victoria Azarenka and Belinda Bencic. Sachs will be Raducanu’s third coach of the year and still could not be her permanent coach.
Djokovic will look to make the most of the tournament this week as Serbia failed to qualify for the 2023 United Cup. A blessing in disguise, Djokovic will start his season in January, unlike the players who start their seasons in the United Cup that begins on 29th December in Australia.
