Novak Djokovic jokingly mocked his Argentine backroom staff member Diego Schwartzman as he recreated Lionel Messi’s angry post-match interview moment where he faced up to Wout Weghorst. Djokovic repeated Messi’s exact words to Schwartzman, calling him a ‘fool’ and asking him to walk away. This led to laughter by Schwartzman and the rest of the staff in the gym.

The hilarious video was met with a positive response from the fans. Some even asked Djokovic to be given an Oscar for his perfect imitation of Messi. Many were even sarcastically asking where it was Djokovic or Messi they were seeing. The fans loved the look behind the scenes at Djokovic’s practice sessions.

The video also showcased Djokovic in the gym. The 21-time Grand Slam champion is nursing a hamstring injury he picked up on his way to the Adelaide International. The Serbian carried on to win the semi-final after picking up the injury up. He also showed no sign of the injury in the final. However, Djokovic pulled out midway through a practice match when he felt his hamstring flare up again. The injury halted his preparation for the Australian Open a bit.
