Novak Djokovic is ready to take on the world as he participates in his career’s 18th Australian Open tournament. He has played in nine finals and won each of them in his career here. However, last January was the only time he missed this tournament. He was deported disgracefully, from Australia just a day before the start of the Australian Open 2022.
However, this time he is determined and equally motivated to clinch the Australian Open 2023 men’s singles title. He has made his intentions very clear in the 2023 Adelaide International 1 tournament as he beat every opponent to clinch the title.
His apparel sponsor Lacoste, too, unveiled its latest collection Novak Djokovic will be wearing during the Australian Open 2023. One of his fans shared a promotional video of Lacoste Australia with the 21-time Grand Slam champion in it on social media.
No man has won more Australian Open singles titles than Novak Djokovic. This year he is in Down Under to win his career’s tenth Australian Open title.
Novak Djokovic: Road to triumph in Australian Open 2023
The World No.5 Novak Djokovic has a long experience of playing in Australia. He knows the climate and conditions very well. However, this time all eyes will be upon him as he is making a return to this event after a hiatus of one year. He has to win against many opponents, if he wants to win the title.
In the first round, he will take on Roberto Carballés Baena. If he wins this match, he will have to take on either Hugo Dellien Jr. or, yet to be announced qualifier in the Second Round of the tournament. In the third round, either Aslan Kazbekovich Karatsev or Grigor Dmitrov will be waiting for him. The fourth round will be even more challenging as either Alex de Minaur or Pablo Carreno Busta will play against him.
He will have to play against either Andrey Rublev, Holger Rune or Nick Kyrgios in the Quarter-Final Round match. Either of them has the ability to break his dream.
If he wins this match, either Alexander Zverev or Taylor Fritz or Casper Ruud will test him in the semi-finals. If everything goes according to plans, he will book an exciting encounter with his old rival Rafael Nadal or Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the Australian Open 2023. While the Spaniard is the defending champion, the Greek would be hungry to win his career’s maiden Grand Slam title.
