Novak Djokovic‘s racket got out of his hand and dropped in the spectators’ box as he struggled to play a shot against Dusan Lajovic in the Quarter-final round of the Banja Luka Open. The spectators helped the 22-time Grand Slam champion get the racket back for him.

This funny incident occurred for the Serbian in the sixth game of the first set. Novak Djokovic had an advantage in this game with Dusan Lajovic serving. However, Dusan Lajovic managed to save the game point. Following this he was also able to win the first set.

The 22-time Grand Slam champion started the season well by winning the Adelaide International 1 tournament and the Australian Open 2023. However, he was still not allowed to play in the Sunshine Doubles because of the strict double vaccination mandate against Covid-19.

Since then returning to the tour, Novak Djokovic is struggling to find the incredible form that was witnessed at the start of the year. The Serbian does take quite some time to adapt to clay surfaces. However, the way he lost in the Round of 16 match at Monte-Carlo against Lorenzo Musetti and now against Dusan Lajovic in the Quarter-finals at Banja Luka has worried his fans.

His form is a concern because the French Open is due to start in less than 40 days and two ATP Masters tournaments are scheduled for the next couple of weeks. Hence, the Serbian needs to pick himself up from this abyss if he wants to fulfill his dream to win his career’s third Grand Slam title at Roland Garros.

However, one thing tennis fans know about Novak Djokovic is that he needs just one good tournament to get his form back. The Madrid Open and the Italian Open can be pivotal for the 22-time Grand Slam champion.
