At an early age, the 5 ft 11 in tall athlete has fought with anxiety and depression and in her professional career, she has been vocal about these issues. Earlier, she has also emphasized how a positive mindset and a strong support system off-court help the players in overcoming the mental challenges and the pressure of the game.

Paula Badosa made her debut at the ITF Women’s circuit at Getxo at the age of 15. She reached the quarterfinals of the 2018 Morocco Open. Her first grand slam match win came at the 2020 Australian Open when she defeated Johanna Larsson in the first round. The 2022 season became her most remarkable when she reached her career-high No. 2 following her semifinal showing at the 2022 Stuttgart’s Open.
She is known to have highly effective first serve, which helps her win a high percentage of first serve points. Despite being an aggressive baseliner she also possesses remarkable defense. Her quick movement, footwork, court coverage, and stamina allow her to dominate her opponents.
As for her personal life, she has been in a relationship with Cuban model and actor Juan Betancourt. Born in Cuba, Betancourt is a renowned model and actor who has been featured in magazines like GQ Brazil, Elle Man Vietnam, and GQ Espana.
