Serena Williams and Olympia

23-time grand slam champion Serena Williams retired from professional tennis last month at the US Open. She had earlier announced that the US Open will be her last tournament and hence played her last match on the Arthur Ashe Stadium when she lost to Ajla Tomljanovic in the third round. She received a very grand farewell and according to her, she couldn’t have asked for more.

A recent TikTok video posted by Serena which featured her daughter, Olympia has gone viral on social media. In the video, Olympia could be seen mistaking a tampon for a cat toy and is also playing with it.

“What is that?” Serena asked Olympia. “It is a cat toy for Karma,” replied her daughter. “A cat toy for our cat.” Karma is Serena Williams’ cat and Olympia assumed that it was a toy for her. Serena, who is filming the video, is utterly shocked by Olympia’s innocence and gave a very weird expression about her seeing Olympia play with a tampon.

Serena Williams played her last match in September and ever since then, is enjoying her retirement life with her family and has also been featured on many shows. She had also teased her comeback from retirement citing NFL legend Tom Brady’s example.

“What I meant is that you never know. A few days ago I talked to Tom Brady, about his story. What he did and how he did it was very beautiful,” she said. As of now, Serena hasn’t announced anything officially regarding her comeback from retirement and given that she is 41, it looks unlikely that she is thinking of staging a comeback just to bow out in the early rounds.
