World No. 6 Stefanos Tsitsipas was caught ignoring Carlos Alcaraz before kissing girlfriend Paula Badosa before his opening match. As the Greek was entering the court to face Jannik Sinner in his opening match at the ATP Final, Tsitsipas brutally ignored Alcaraz before going into the stadium.

Stefanos Tsitsipas has a one sided rivalry with Carlos Alcaraz. The duo have faced each other a total of five times. However, it was the young Spaniard who won all five times. The Greek is yet to register a single-match win over Alcaraz. Tsitsipas has previously opened up saying he needed to spend hours in practice and analytics if he wished to defeat Alcaraz. However, he is yet to do so.

When Tsitsipas was entering the stadium for his first match at the ATP Finals, there stood a row of people congratulating him. He had acknowledged each of these people, in some way or the other. c

When he reached Paula Badosa, his girlfriend, he stopped to give her a kiss. Standing right next to Badosa was compatriot Carlos Alcaraz. However, Tsitsipas made no attempt to even acknowledge him, as he entered the stadium in ignorance.

The Greek was seen completely avoiding Alcaraz as he seemingly unknowingly walked past the Spaniard. While Tsitsipas took the time to greet every one of the people behind the stadium doors, he blatantly ignored Alcaraz. It is impossible to know whether this was because of ignorance or nerves before the first match.

Since the ATP Finals is one of the few tournaments to follow the round-robin format, this is not the end of the road for the Greek tennis professional. Tsitsipas, who believes the ATP Finals are more important than the Grand Slams is not ready to give up yet as he has a point to prove, and will live to fight another day.

Tsitsipas is set to face Holger Rune in the next match. The Dane has just come back from a defeat himself. However, his match was of better quality, with a three set thriller against Novak Djokovic.

Jannik Sinner on the other hand will be facing the nearly undefeated Novak Djokovic. He will hope to play his best tennis if he wants to win against the Serb. Nevertheless, the promise of a thriller will be kept by them
