Some fans even showed concern about whether this was the best time for her to return, due to the split of Serena and her longtime coach Patrick Mouratoglou.
Serena won the last of her seven Wimbledon singles titles in 2016 but reached the finals in 2018 and 2019 after returning from childbirth. As Wimbledon draws to a close, Williams is seriously considered the best chance at winning the 24th Grand Slam crown in singles, the equivalent of Margaret Court’s record of all time.
The first batch of wild singles and doubles cards will be announced on Wednesday, so all fans can now just wait and see.
