Andy Murray has been struggling with his performances and did not have a remarkable 2022 with getting eliminated in the earlier stages of the competition at most of the ATP events. His performances at the Citi Open and the Canadian Open were very shocking and under par as he got eliminated in the first round only at both the events. He had made a good start at the Cincinnati Open winning the first round against Stan Wawrinka but his stint was short-lived after he got defeated in the second round by his compatriot Cameron Norrie.

He even lost to John Isner in a grueling second-round match at the 2022 Wimbledon Championship. His best performance of the year has been at the Stuttgart Open where he lost to Italian Matteo Berrettini in the finals. With his injuries and fitness concerns, he is still in search of a singles Grand Slam title since his last win in 2016 at Wimbledon. He is scheduled to play next at the US Open where he clinched his first singles Grand Slam title in the year 2012 defeating Novak Djokovic. The Brit is part of Team Europe with Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal as team-mates at the Laver Cup.
