Wimbledon 2022: Order of play for Day 7 Sunday, 3rd July 2022

Jannik Sinner, Novak Djokovic, Carlos Alcaraz

The first week of Wimbledon came to a fiery end with the conclusion of Stefanos Tsitsipas and Nick Kyrgios‘s match. Despite many hiccups, a weak field and CoVID scares, the second week is shaping up to be a fun watch. The fourth round of Wimbledon 2022 is filled with a lot of excitement as the 2-time defending champion, Novak Djokovic faces the red-hot Dutch, Tim van Rijthoven who is the biggest surprise of the grass season. Djokovic will hope to end Rijthoven’s Cinderella story to make his twelfth quarterfinal appearance at Wimbledon.

The fourth round also contains the matchup of two leading next-generation players. Jannik Sinner faces Carlos Alcaraz in the fourth round as two youngsters battle it out for their maiden quarterfinal spot at Wimbledon. The women’s section has a clear favorite in Ons Jabeur after the departure of world number 1, Iga Swiatek. Jabeur will face Elise Mertens for a quarterfinal spot. David Goffin, Francis Tiafoe, Cameron Norrie as well as surprises like Heather Watson and Tatjana Maria will also feature in the fourth round of Wimbledon 2022.
