“You got problems,” Martina Navratilova attacks Donald Trump as he comes under criminal investigation after taking sensitive White House documents

Former World No. 1 Martina Navratilova is one of the most active Twitter users using the platform for voicing her opinions on a wide array of topics and not only on tennis. The tennis great does not shy away from being involved in debates and often interacts with her followers who reply to her tweets as well continuing the discussions.

Martina recently voiced her concerns about the controversy surrounding former American president Donald Trump who is under investigation ever since his home in Florida, the Mar-a-Lago residence, was raided by the FBI. As per the information available, the raid comes after Trump was brought under criminal investigation having been accused of taking some confidential and highly classified documents from White House after his term as President was over and has refused to return the documents.

Martina Navratilova gets support from other Twitter users

The Justice Department is investigating Trump under the Espionage Act as he has been accused of taking classified records, including a few which were labelled as ‘top secret’. Taken into a deposition on 17th August, Trump reportedly took his ‘Fifth Amendment Rights’ more than 440 times as per CNBC. “Trump is rushing to hire seasoned lawyers — but he keeps hearing ‘No’ – The Washington Post- when you can’t find a lawyer to represent you you got problems,” tweeted the 18-time singles Grand Slam champion.

Navratilova being a ‘Democrat’, is a staunch opposer of Trump, a ‘Republican’, and wasted no chance to take a dig at the former US President as he is now failing to gather a good legal team to defend his case. As per the Washington Post, Trump’s legal team currently comprises of a Florida insurance lawyer who’s never had a federal case, a past general counsel for a parking garage company, and a former host from a propagandistic cable outlet.

Martina received quite a good support in her replies with many users further criticising Trump and rejoicing as the tycoon comes under investigation for not only the documents matter but also looking into the events that led to the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot by thousands of Trump supporters, who for hours disrupted the confirmation of current US President Joe Biden’s electoral victory by a joint session of Congress as per the CNBC.
