Rafael Nadal confirms his participation in the upcoming 2021 Toronto Masters, Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer to miss out
Rafael Nadal spoke about his foot injury after the loss against Harris at the Washington Open giving rise to speculations about his future tournaments. The Spaniard however cleared the air around it and confirmed that he will be participating in the upcoming 2021 Toronto Masters in his preparation for the 2021 US Open.
Nadal will be one of the headliners for the tournament after Roger Federer forcibly pulled off from the tournament in Toronto and also the one later in Cincinnati as he continues his struggles with the long going knee injury that he picked up again at the 2021 Wimbledon.
Novak will also be missing out as the Serbian is taking time to relax after a gruelling week in Tokyo at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics where he lost in the Bronze Medal match in the Singles event and was forced to withdraw from the Bronze Medal Match of the Mixed Doubles as he could not continue with trouble in his left shoulder which was later revealed to be there before he came to Tokyo.
The 2021 Toronto Masters will begin from 9th August with the finals scheduled on 15th August 2021.
