Recently Novak’s father, Srdjan Djokovic gave an interview in which he was asked about his son and his future. According to him Djokovic will win at least 4-5 Grand Slam titles before his retirement.
“We will wait for Roland Garros and his 21 Grand Slam title. He will win a few more Grand Slam titles until he retires: I think 4 or 5. He will win at least twice in Wimbledon and some other Slams for sure. Do you doubt that? You don’t need to be an expert, but Novak will play for another 2-3 years and this will be enough,” he said.
Srdjan is very confident regarding his son’s future. As he is known for his bold statements, he also commented on the Australian Open, 2022 and Novak’s participation in it.
“They have to decide whether they will let Novak in. If they decide [to not let him], they have to stand behind their decision. He has won the Australian Open 9 times, he now wants to play – but they have to permit him to play. Novak will do what he thinks is the best for him, nobody will impose an opinion on him,” he added.
