“Novak Djokovic may have won his LAST GRAND SLAM,” says Swiss Legend!
Roger Federer, Mats Wilander, and Novak Djokovic
Novak Djokovic was deported back home a day before the beginning of the Australian Open 2022. Djokovic was deported because he was against vaccines. Swiss Legend and 7-time Grandslam champion Mats Wilander made headlines when he predicted that Djokovic might’ve won his LAST GRAND SLAM last year.
Wilander also gave Djokovic credit for trying his level best to make it into the Australian Open. However, at the same time, he criticized Djokovic for not getting vaccinated even after knowing the rules.
The verdict meant that Djokovic won’t be allowed to enter Australia for the next three years. This might just mean that we would never look get a chance to see Djokovic win the Australian Open at Melbourne Park. However, Wilander went ahead and said that said Djokovic might not win any grand slam ever.
After Novak Djokovic’s deportation Wilander said, “Now there is a good chance all three will end up on 20 Grand Slams “

Novak Djokovic won each and every Grand Slam in his career. His greatness is so much that he nearly won each and every grand slam last year. Even though Djokovic can be considered to be the favorite on any surface, in any place, at any time, the Australian Open was his favorite major.
Djokovic won the Australian Open title for 9-times in his career, greater than any other player ever. It just might be that the Australian Government managed to steal him the 10th title with a three-year ban for Djokovic from traveling to Australia.
However, the Legendary Swiss tennis player and former world No.1 Mats Wilander went ahead to predict that “Novak Djokovic may have won his LAST GRAND SLAM.”
The Swiss in a recent interview while talking about Djokovic and his deportation started by saying, “I’m surprised and I’m shocked. I’m a little bit exhausted as well because we have been hearing about this for a week, I give Novak a lot of credit for trying but at the same time he knew there might be the possibility that with the rules you have to be vaccinated. But you also have to think about the other players – they have been asked about this for the whole time they have been in Australia. But the big thing for me, the best tennis players in the world, they are globally famous people and this has really been one of the biggest stories this year.”
Wilander moved on to suggest that even though it was sad news but we will have a new winner this time, where he hinted that the 2009 Australian Open Champion Rafael Nadal doesn’t stand a chance to win it this year.
He added, “Do I think it’s fair? Well, I think it’s fair [because] millions of people have died from Covid around the world and Australia has decided to go into full lockdown for most of the time. Australians have been suffering both mentally and physically of course like everybody else, so I think in the end Novak tried everything he could and I think it was very difficult to go back on what they [the Australian government] said at first.”
Wilander moved ahead to say that Djokovic may have won his LAST GRAND SLAM, He said, “I cannot imagine the state of mind Novak must be in right now plus it’s by far his most favorite tournament – one he has won nine times – he’s chasing 21 Grand Slams and this was his big chance to go ahead of Roger and Rafa. To me, now there is a good chance all three will end up on 20 Grand Slams which will be amazing.”
