Ever since the announcement regarding Novak Djokovic receiving a medical exemption came out, people have been questioning on what grounds was the world No.1 exempted?
However, Nick McCallum caught the corrupted health officials of Tennis Australia red-handed. In his interview with the top health officials at Tennis Australia Nick managed to expose the unlawful way in which Djokovic was given the medical exemption.
Nick McCallum exposes Novak Djokovic’s medical exemption process
This Tuesday, Novak Djokovic confirmed that he will be flying down to Melbourne to play at the Australian Open after being handed a medical exemption. The world No.1 will be defending the Australian Open title for the fourth consecutive year.
However, ever since the news about the exemption came into the public domain people started to question the validity of the offered medical exemption.
While the officials were trying to fend off the speculation around the exemption they knew that they’ll have to give out a statement some time soon.
In an interview, Top Australian journalist Nick McCallum questioned the health officials at the tennis open about the validity of the documents presented by Novak Djokovic. To his and all of our surprise, the health officials told Nick that the expert panel examining Novak’s exemption did not look at the origin or veracity of health documents supporting it.
According to the health officials, the expert panel’s role was “not intelligence” but to merely validate the provided documents. However, Nick asked the officials, “how do we know they’re fair dinkum?” and to which the health officials has no response.
The officials not responding to Nick’s question clearly suggest that the process of handing Novak Djokovic his medical exemption has some major flaws in it. This might result in hampering the safety of the players playing in the Australian Open as well as the citizens of Melbourne.
