Novak Djokovic’s father Srdjan reveals what will be Novak’s plans after the court gives the verdict

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic‘s fate of participating in the 2022 Australian Open will be finalised in a few hours’ time when the court gives its verdict on the case between the player and the Australian government which denied the player his visa to enter the country despite him having the medical exemption.
While the government has maintained its stance of medical exemption is a matter of doctors while the visa remains the matter of the Federal government, the court is expected to end the much-discussed topic once and for all on 10th January, Monday when it will announce the final verdict that will seal the fate of the participation of the player in the Slam.
While Djokovic continues to stay in the quarantine hotel of the Federal government, the protests against the government led by his brother Djordje and father Srdjan continue to raise voices against the ‘injustice’ done to Novak as he was not allowed entry into the country and was subjected to heavy questioning for nearly 9 hours at Melbourne airport upon arrival.
In one of the protests, Srdjan revealed what will be the plan of action for Novak after the verdict is out and irrespective of the decision, Novak will be allowed to leave the quarantine hotel. “If the court decides he has to go, he will leave [Australia]. If the court decides he stays, he will stay. But it will not be the politicians who will decide it,” said Srdjan.
Novak Djokovic remains without any training
Upon being taken into the quarantine hotel, Djokovic had requested him to be kept along with his team in the rental flat they have taken for their long stay in the country. However, the request was denied and the player remains isolated in the room alone without any tennis gear and training.
Even if the player is able to win the case and granted his visa, he will be taking the court in Melbourne Park without any match practice as the Tour events in the week before the Slam will also begin from Monday when his verdict will be declared. Also, there is a good chance that the player might be re-detained as it sits in the right of the government.
