Novak Djokovic talks about not wanting to watch the final
Novak Djokovic has been one of the dominating players to have ever played tennis at the Rod Laver Arena. He has won the Australian Open title 9-times in his career and was hoping to make it 10 in 2022.
However, he was refused entry into the country and was deported back home due to his vaccination status. He had been the defending champion for three straight years and would’ve been hoping to win the title for the fourth consecutive time.
Nevertheless, in recent interviews, he was asked about the Australian Open and the final between Rafael Nadal and Daniil Medvedev. He replied by saying, “I didn’t want to watch the match because I wanted to be on the court… I was amused because my wife was cheering for Medvedev and my son for Nadal.”
Djokovic is finally going to play his first game this year at the Dubai Tennis Championship. His fans will be excited to watch the world No.1 in action once again.
