Serena Williams hasn’t been experiencing a great season on the clay. After returning to action at the Italian Open, earlier in the month. The 23-time Grand Slam winner lost in the opening round itself to Nadia Podoroska. In the following week, she even fell prey to Katerina Siniakova in Parma.
The American is coming back to the tour after a series of injuries and is yet to find her rhythm going into the French Open. While the 39-year-old has been struggling with drop in confidence and form, her coach Patrick Mouratoglou has been making sure that his pupil stays focused ahead of Roland Garros.

A couple of weeks ago, the reputed coach even posted pictures of Serena’s rigorous training rounds. Now, the coach has issued a funny warning to Serena for missing forehands during the practice sessions.
“If I answer you today I am not going to rate her chances really high because she’s lost the second round in the last tournament, and first-round the one before,” the French coach said in his recent statement.
“So it’s difficult to say that she’s gonna win Roland Garros. But we still have 10 days to work so we got to take the best out of those 10 days and I know how much work she can do in a short period of time and how much she can improve,” Mouratoglou added.
Serena enjoyed as a commentator during UTS and was spotted at the Monaco Grand Prix

The tennis legend also made a cameo at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown, organized by her coach Mourtagolou on Monday and took her turn in the commentary booth while good friend Grigor Dimitrov was seen in action.
Serena was also seen at the recently concluded Monaco Formula One, Grand Prix, where she even had the honor of waving the checkered flag at the finish line. Tennis players Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev were also present in Monte Carlo.
Although Serena hasn’t been at her best lately, she still remains the only player in contemporary women’s game to win all the Grand Slams, at least twice. In fact, she is also the only player in the current WTA roster to have won the French Open on three separate occasions.
