In the middle of this year, the tennis legend suffered from a severe leg injury that left him off the court for several months. After his recovery, Rafa was seen practicing his moves for his comeback, which was most awaited by his fans.

Rafael made his come back from the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, 2021 in Abu Dhabi. His first match was against World No.134 British tennis star Andy Murray. Rafa lost this match to Murray with a score of 6-3 7-5.
