Rafael Nadal’s outfit for 2022 Australian Open revealed!
Rafael Nadal
20-time grand slam champion Rafael Nadal is out of action since the last 4 months due to a foot injury he developed during the North American swing. He has now completed his recovery and will be back on court at Abu Dhabi for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship. He will then travel to Australia for the Australian leg where he’ll play a tune up tournament in Melbourne before competing at the Australian Open.
After Nadal’s participation was confirmed, the pictures of his outfit for the final Grand Slam of the year have also been circulated across digital platforms. Nadal will be seen donning outfit from Nike court’s latest line.
Nadal will be seen in a purple t-shirt which has a white strip on the sleeves. A white strip will also be there on the collar alongwith with Nike’s symbol and his ‘Bull’ logo in greenish color on the front. He will be pairing his purple t-shirt with white shorts that’ll have matching purple stripes on the sides.
The 35-year old will also wear matching green and white shoes, which has purple Nike symbol. The shoes will also have the signature ‘Bull’ logo to give it a personalized touch.
A tough road ahead for Nadal
Nadal will be returning to tennis after a break of over 4 months. He just played 1 match at Washington in August, so logically, his last competitive match was almost half a year ago against Novak Djokovic at Roland Garros, which he lost in four tight sets. Needless to say, the comeback won’t be easy for him in any means, given the exponential rise of the NextGen.
He would want to bring his ‘A’ game back ideally before the Australian Open. He will play a tune up ATP 250 event in Melbourne starting January 4, which shall provide him enough match practice for the mega event.
Having said that, Nadal’s main goal will once again be the clay season where he’ll want to win his record 14th Roland Garros title. But the Australian leg will be Nadal’s prime focus for now.
