Arthur Rinderknech vs Roberto Bautista Agut: Preview
Roberto Bautista Agut will step into the Swiss Open after a disappointing outing at Wimbledon 2021. He did make his way up to the fourth round, but his journey was halted by Canadian tennis sensation Denis Shapovalov. Before that, he suffered another astonishing defeat at the Mallorca Open.
In the quarter-finals at Mallorca, Bautista Agut was defeated by unseeded Sam Querrey in straight sets. Moreover, the Spaniard met a similar fate in the French Open and Halle Open as well. In both tournaments, he was defeated by unseeded players.
Needless to say, Bautista Agut would be itching to make a comeback at the big stage. On the other hand, Arthur Rinderknech hasn’t done too badly in recent times. He was able to reach the quarter-finals at Swedish Open where he was knocked out by Yannick Hanfmann in straight sets.
At the Swiss Open, Arthur has started off in an emphatic fashion. He went past Dominic Stephan Stricker without much hassle in his first-round clash. However, now Arthur has a monumental challenge ahead of him in the name of Roberto Bautista Agut.
Arthur Rinderknech vs Roberto Bautista Agut: Head to Head
These two players are yet to face each other on the court. Hence, the head-to-head record stands at 0-0.
Arthur Rinderknech vs Roberto Bautista Agut: Prediction
Arthur Rinderknech has greatly improved his game in the past few months. However, he will find it tough against Bautista Agut as the Spanish tennis star has experience by his side. The odds are surely in favor of Agut. However, looking at the way he has been thrashed by several unseeded players this season, it would be fair to say that going past Arthur won’t be that easy for him.
Prediction: Roberto Bautista Agut to win in 3 sets.
