Tennis Great Chris Evert is the original ‘Queen of clay’. The sixty six year old Former World No.1 has Eighteen Grand Slam Titles and seven French Open titles, the latter a record. The only player who came close was Steffi Graf who had six French Open Titles. Chris Evert believes that Roger Federer will find it difficult to win another Grand Slam. Why does she think that way? Let’s find out.

Roger Federer will find it difficult to adjust to the tennis as he has not played much tennis lately, thinks Chris Evert. She believes that Federer has lost his instinct for the game, that anticipation that he used to have. Federer, who has barely played any tennis in almost a year and a half, has lost two of the three matches that he has played.

Evert seems to think that Federer needs to win some matches and get his confidence back. On the GOAT debate Evert is clear that Federer is the one, but she thinks Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic are coming into the picture prominently now.

Chris Evert said, “ It will be difficult.” She explained further, “ He hasn’t played much lately, and that’s what worries me. Roger has lost instinct. You have lost that anticipation. You lose your confidence a bit and you need matches to get back to it.” Evert concluded, “He has been the GOAT for the last 10 years even if Nadal and Djokovic are coming more and more into the picture.”

Roger Federer has a better chance of winning a Grand Slam at Wimbledon, thinks Chris evert. She believes that Federer will have a great chance in shorter rallies where he can go for the winner and he also has the option of using a slice or a chip and charge. She also seems to think that by the time Federer goes back to Wimbledon, he would have had a few tournament games under his belt and be better prepared and equipped

Chris Evert said, “I think his best chance will be at Wimbledon, where the rallies are shorter. You can upload to the network. It has a very good slice and a very good chip-and-charge, too. There will be your biggest bet.” She continued, “ Before Wimbledon, luckily for him, he will be able to play a couple of tournaments and try to win her back.”
