The 37-year old German, after outclassing Fernando Verdasco 7-6, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in the first round, stunned this year’s Australian Open semifinalist and 24th-seed Aslan Karatsev to win 6-3, 7-6, 4-6, 6-1 in the next round. Ranked 132 in the world right now, Kohlschreiber has definitely decided to end his career on a high.
