Stefanos Tsitsipas Calls out “King Richard” to be his new coach!

‘King Richard’- a movie based on the life of Richard Williams, Serena and Venus Williams’ father has hit the theatres. The storyline is based on the struggles Richard Williams had to go through to push Serena and Venus ahead. It is to be noted that legendary actor Will Smith is playing the role of Richard Williams in the film.

Ever since the release, Will Smith is receiving a lot of praise for successfully portraying Richard Williams. Recently, Greek World No.4 Stefanos Tsitsipas took to twitter and asked Will Smith whether he’ll be his coach. “Will Smith will you be my new coach?,” Tsitsipas wrote.

It is clear that Tsitsipas doesn’t really want Smith to coach him but it is his way of appreciating him for doing justice to the role of Richard Williams. His tweet also reflects what a brilliant coach Richard Williams was.

2021 was a good season for Tsitsipas. He started the year with a semifinal outing at the Australian Open and then reached his maiden grand slam final at Roland Garros. He also won the Monte Carlo Masters and almost defeated Rafael Nadal on clay in Barcelona.

He’d want to maintain his consistency in 2022 too and take a step forward. He will begin his season in Australia at the ATP Cup from January 1 and will play the Australian Open next. He is one of the frontrunners to go deep at majors and could very well win his maiden grand slam in 2022.
