Rafael Nadal had once mentioned how he, despite being right-handed, plays with his left, just like ‘ the legend ‘ Tendulkar, who, despite being a lefty, plays with his right.

And now, after the Spaniard’s epic moment yesterday, Tendulkar posted on his Twitter, congratulating Nadal on his 21st grand slam. “From 2 sets down to come back and win your 21st Grand Slam is incredible,” said the cricket legend.

Despite competing only once since his injury last year, Nadal gave his best by beating Medvedev even though he was broken in the 5th and 7th games, losing the first set to the Russian. After 84 minutes, the 25-year-old closes the set with 7-6. However, his will to be the 1st to grab the 21st grand slam drove Nadal to get the following three sets from Medvedev, giving him the best moment of his life.

“That is absolutely magnificent. Stunning, to say the least,” comments Tendulkar after the remarkable match.
