‘That bag is gonna need an update!’- Fans spot Major Detail missing from Rafael Nadal’s gear

Rafael Nadal
In one of the greatest Grand Slam finals in history, Rafael Nadal made an epic comeback to form two sets down to defeat Daniil Medvedev to lift his second Australian Open crown and record the 21st Grand Slam title. With this win, the Spaniard has broken the three-way tie he held with Djokovic and Federer and now holds the record of most Grand Slam titles in Men’s singles.
After a break following his historic win, Nadal is all set to return to the tour at the Mexican Open. He hit the practice courts in Acapulco gearing up for his return and footage of his training was shared on Tennis TV’s official Twitter handle. They captioned it “Rafa has landed in Mexico… But that tennis bag is gonna need an update,” in reference to a detail missing from Nadal’s gear.
The bag includes Nadal’s previous Grand Slam wins- 4 at the US Open, 2 at the Wimbledon, and a staggering 13 French Open titles, but it still shows only a maiden win at the Australian Open which Nadal won back in 2009. After making an astonishing comeback to win his second title in Melbourne, the Spaniard still hasn’t added the laurels of his record-breaking 21st Grand Slam title to his bag.
Rafael Nadal looking to extend his winning streak in Acapulco

Nadal will kick off his bid to win a 4th title in Acapulco with an opening round clash against Denis Kudla. He reached the finals at the Mexican Open in four of his previous five appearances and also won the title in his last appearance in Acapulco, in 2020. The Spaniard is currently on a 10-match unbeaten run this year and also a 5-match winning streak in Acapulco, he will be keen to extend his unbeaten run and win a third consecutive title this year.
With 5 of the top-10 players competing for the title in Acapulco, Nadal will need another good showing akin to his Australian Open heroics to lift his 4th title in Acapulco.
