Stefanos Tsitsipas is a name to reckon with in the world of tennis. The Greek tennis star made the news for all the wrong reasons not so long ago. His extended bathroom break during the opening round at the US Open against Andy Murray was criticized all over the world.
Moreover, he wasn’t able to deliver a noteworthy performance at the US Open post that victory against Murray. However, the World 3 seems to have recovered from all the drama which ensued at that time. Tsitsipas, part of Europe, has delivered impressive performances at the Laver Cup.

The Greek teamed up with Andrey Rublev for the doubles event and thrashed Nick Kyrgios and John Isner. Post that, in the singles match, he went past Aussie tennis star Nick Kyrgios in straight sets without much trouble. Talking about his wonderful experience at the Laver Cup, Tsitsipas had a few things to say post his victory against Kyrgios.
Tsitsipas thanked his teammates and expressed his delight over the fact that the people who have been his rivals for the most part of his career are actually in his team and are aiming for the same goal. “It has been more than a pleasure to be fighting for this trophy,” Tsitsipas said.
“The most important thing which stands out this week is the memories which we have built together as a team,” he added. The Greek tennis star also claimed that every member of the team had a major part to play in the scheme of things and added that this whole experience has been nothing short of extraordinary.
Praising his teammates even more, Tsitsipas said that he is privileged to play under such wonderful captains and it is incredible that the best in the world are his teammates from whom he has learned a lot as a player.
