He got his visa cancelled but decided to challenge the decision in federal court. He eventually won the case on Monday and got his visa reinstated. He was then declared as the top seed for Australian Open and was even named in the main draw. But since the last two days, it was speculated that the Australian government is building up a case again Djokovic to deport him. And on Friday, the Immigration minister announced that he’s exercising his rights to cancel Djokovic’s visa.

Ever since the decision has been made, the world has taken either a Pro-Djokovic or Anti-Djokovic stand. Many Australian ministers have involved politics in the matter and have criticized Morrison government’s decision and questioned that how a single person could be a threat to the entire nation when the number of COVID cases have erupted like never before.
