Serena Williams hints at a return to the court at this year’s Wimbledon
Serena Williams have been on the sidelines for some time after her hamstring injury last year in the first round clash against Aliaksandra Sasnovich at the Wimbledon. The injury caused her to miss the following US Open and she also chose not to travel to the Toky Olympics. Serena has not returned to this year’s Australian Open and there is little to no chance that she will feature in the upcoming Roland Garros.
However good news for the tennis fans as the 40-year-old has hinted that she might make a comeback to the court at the Wimbledon this year.
In a recent Instagram story with NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, she suggested that she will be participating at the Wimbledon this year. She said, “We’ve been talking about my comeback and he’s been hyping me up and getting me ready for Wimbledon. Can’t wait!” Then Rodgers asked her whether she would play at the US Open, Serena replied, “Wimbledon’s before the US Open, I’ve got to play Wimbledon first. Exciting!”
