Danielle Collins is an American tennis player and has won 2 WTA titles and 4 ITF titles. Her career-high ranking is No.23 which she achieved back on 28 January, 2019.

Collins started playing tennis on the ITF circuit at the age of 17. She made her main draw debut at a Grand Slam at the 2014 US Open, but it wasn’t until mid-2016, that Collins started playing tennis professionally. She decided to focus on her education and opted to play tennis only at the collegiate level, where she had immense success and was the top-ranked collegiate player until she decided to turn pro in 2016.

After failing to win a main draw match at a Grand Slam, Collins finally found her breakthrough, when she upset 14th seed Julia Gorges in the first round of the 2019 Australian Open. In an incredible run that saw Collins reach the semi-finals, the American won against three top-20 players, including a surprising win over second seed Angelique Kerber in the fourth round. She lost in the semis to Petra Kvitova in straight sets.
